Where are the Walls?

Tonight fans of Wallhanger TV will be tuned into the Pursuit Channel for the action of the 2013 hunting season. There’s no question a good time was had by all while putting the current season of shows together. While last year is being shared with fans, the 2014 season is in full swing and that means the duo of Chad and Dana Wall is on the road.

Kansas2011-063 (1)With this in mind we want to share with you where we will be and what we are thinking as we plan out hunting sessions this season.

October 16 – 19
Chad and Dana will open this trip up in Kentucky on the farm that’s been productive over the years.

“We will focus on white oaks right after the front that moved through,” Chad said. “It is also good time to see bucks fresh sign getting ready for pre rut, catching these bucks feeding in the woods where they are still comfortable.”

After four days in Kentucky it is time to drive to Oklahoma to try a new lease for the Wallhanger gang.

October 20-29
“It is a good time to be out West. We should be able to catch buck where they are very visible and still in their feeding patterns,” Chad explains. “If the bucks aren’t moving…well it is good to be somewhere you can see a long way.”

With a few days under the Western stars it is time to move to the heart of the Midwest, Illinois.

Late October should be dynamite hunting in Illinois. The temperatures should be dropping and the pre-rut will be in full swing.

“This is a good time to catch pre-rut activity and if there are any first young does that come in at the end of the month big bucks will be hooked up on them,” Wall says.

Now, it is time for the crew to continue North… IOWA!

November 5-7

To say the team is excited to travel to Iowa would be an understatement. Iowa is known for trophy whitetails and Chad and Dana hope to get their shot.

“Definite pre-rut activity will be going on. My goal is to catch these big bucks cruising and making sign,” said Chad. “I like hunting Iowa pre rut instead of full rut because they call better and give better shot opportunities. Rattling and calling only works if the bucks are not already hooked up with does.”

Whew… the next month will be busy for the Wall family.

As the season moves along WallhangerTV.com will keep you up to speed on how the season is progressing for the crew so stay tuned…it is going to be a fun season!
