Kentucky: Fall Preparations Begin

Hunters who have success in the fall and winter months understand that right now is the time you can make or break your hunts this season.  That’s why Chad and Dana Wall hit the road this past weekend putting their time in on the Kubota tractor in Kentucky.

Kubota300If you have watched the show in the past you already know the Walls enjoy spending time on the Kentucky farm each fall / winter. There is good reason for it as both have taken trophy whitetails from this farm in recent years.

“It is always nice to go up to Kentucky to get the whitetail season started,” says Chad. “We typically have a chance to spend a few days up there on our way to / from our others stops in the midwest each fall.”

The weekend was a success as they planted three summer food plots with Mossy Oak’s Biologic products. Note, each person should select the right Biologic product to fit what they are looking for. Chad and Dane opted to plant a combination of BioMass and LABLAB, designed for those who manage food plots your around.

On the edges of these tilled areas the Walls were excited to add their newest partner to the mix, Redneck Blinds.

Bio Logic 300“I can’t wait to try these Redneck Blinds out this fall,” says Wall. “They came in a few weeks ago and I’ve been itching to get them in place. I know they will pay dividends this fall.”

Before the trip was complete Chad and Dana strategically placed Biologic mineral blocks throughout the property and hung their RECONYX cameras in order to monitor the herd on the property.

Overall a successful weekend of gearing up for deer season this fall. Yes, it was hard work but honestly, that is a large part of why the Wallhanger family enjoys being outdoors in God’s creation.  We encourage you to take time to enjoy getting outdoors today!
